‘ Job for GenX ’ Policy Guidelines
1. The portal, ‘ Job for GenX ’, is a digital platform exclusively for final-year Graduation and Diploma students as well as passed-out students. It enables them to connect with industries seeking candidates for jobs through the National Apprenticeship Training Scheme (NATS) in the immediate future.
2. This portal does not guarantee any job; however, it provides golden opportunities to eligible aspiring students by matching the demand with the supply.
3. Eligibility Criteria for Enrollment on ‘ Job for GenX ’ Portal:
- a. Successfully passed-out students with a Graduation or Diploma.
- b. Final-year students currently pursuing Graduation or Diploma courses.
4. Students who complete basic enrollment will be allowed to participate in a maximum of 4 (four) Job Fairs or until they are selected by suitable establishments/industries through this platform, whichever comes earlier.
5. Students completing secondary enrollment will have the added facility of making their profile available for industries to shortlist them directly for interviews. In this case, shortlisting/calling a candidate will be allowed a maximum of 10 (ten) times or until the student is selected by the establishment/industry, whichever comes earlier.
6. Enrolled students are advised to log in to their dashboard regularly for updates. All notifications will be sent via their dashboard. If an enrolled student does not log in for a continuous period of 1 (one) month or more, their candidature will be blocked and they will not be considered active for further processes.
7. Selected candidates are informed that prior to accepting any offer on the portal, they must have a valid NATS enrolment ID, available at www.nats.education.gov.in. Students should note that establishments are allowed to hire candidates from this portal initially for apprenticeship training under The Apprentices Act 1961 and The Apprenticeship Rules 1992 (as amended). The period of apprenticeship will be determined by the establishment before confirming permanent employment.
8. Establishments are allowed to participate in Job Fairs through this portal and to prepare panels of students for conducting interviews at their venues. Establishments are permitted to prepare a panel or participate in Job Fairs only if they have provided all relevant information regarding the selection/rejection/waitlisting of candidates from all past activities (Job Fairs attended or panels prepared).
